In July 2022, we were contacted by Kammac, a third-party logistics (3PL) provider, with an enquiry for full-site signage at their newly acquired Warrington depot.
Kammac delivers nationwide haulage, warehousing, and supply chain management services across the UK, with distribution hubs in the North West and Midlands. Their Warrington site required a wide-ranging signage package from functional health & safety signs to standout branded installations.
What We Delivered
Our team at Benson Signs manufactured and installed a full range of signage products, including:
- Aluminium composite panels with digitally printed vinyl and protective overlaminate
- UV-printed foamex health & safety panels, printed direct-to-substrate
- Acrylic door plates with UV-printed information
- Digitally printed contravision vinyl, face-applied to the entrance gatehouse
- Fence-mounted signage, using channel and aluminium clips
- Post-mounted signs, installed on mild steel and stainless steel posts
- Vinyl decals applied to reception glazing
- Traffic flow signage using reflective-grade vinyl for clear visibility
- Non-illuminated flex face box signage in two large formats: 5000 x 3500mm and 18,000 x 3500mm
All signage was installed towards the end of 2022, covering both internal branding and external wayfinding. The safety signage helped ensure compliance for fleet access and supported clear site navigation.
Showcase Feature: 2-Metre Illuminated Letters
The standout feature for this project was the set of 2-metre-high built-up illuminated letters, mounted to the building’s external cladding. These bold brand elements face a high-footfall area, including a major supermarket and a nearby sports stadium. This makes them a key opportunity for visual impact.
Because of their scale and illumination, the letters required advertisement consent. Our team managed the full application process, working closely with the local council to gain approval and agree on illumination levels.
After conducting an access survey and preparing full method statements, our fitting team installed the letters in February 2023 using a double buttress scaffolding system to safely reach the high-level cladding.
We’re really pleased with how the final installation turned out. The illuminated branding looks fantastic and helps establish a strong presence for Kammac at their Warrington site. We’re proud to share that this successful collaboration has since led to signage work for additional Kammac locations.
