We were recently contacted by staff at the YMCA in Birkenhead with a request to produce new signage to reflect their updated brand logo. We had previously manufactured and fitted signage for this location back in 2007. It was great to be invited back to support the next stage of their brand evolution.
Following approval of costs and drawings, we submitted an advertisement planning application. Once approved, we moved into production, with installation scheduled for December 2019.
Signage Supplied
The main feature was a set of built-up aluminium letters, measuring nearly 1 metre in height and spanning approximately 3 metres across the building façade. The letters were powder coated in white and fitted with LED illumination inside each form. This created a subtle halo glow around the perimeter of the logo, especially visible at dusk and during night-time hours.
Result and Feedback
The signage was installed by our team on schedule. The client was very happy with the finished result. We were also pleased with how it turned out. The post-installation photographs clearly show the soft halo effect around the updated YMCA logo, which gives the building a bright and modern appearance.
